  1. Decide your monthly limit first. Include the housing costs you need to budget for, and keep your search at or below the amount you can manage.
  2. Save your preferred area as the primary search. Add only the room and size requirements that matter to you.
  3. Add another area as a separate search. This makes the trade-off visible without quietly increasing your budget.
  4. Check the original listing before you act. Availability, deposits, utilities, eligibility and application details are confirmed by the landlord or listing source.
