1. Who we are
BoligAlert is the controller for the personal data processed in the app and on this website. BoligAlert is an independent app for monitoring rental homes and homes for sale.

2. Information we process
We process an internal user ID, technical account IDs, your saved rental and purchase preferences, selected areas, housing type, rent or purchase budget, size, rooms, selected sources, push settings, the device push token, and your subscription status.
If you choose Sign in with Apple or restore purchases, we may process your Apple user ID, email address, or name if Apple makes that information available to us.
If you use in-app purchases on iPhone, we receive information about active subscription status, product ID, purchase or renewal date, status, original transaction ID, and related App Store transactions.
We do not process your card details directly. Payments on iOS are handled by Apple through the App Store.
3. How we use the information
We use the information to create and save your rental and purchase preferences, match new homes against your criteria, send push notifications, and show your subscription status in the app.
We also use limited product and operational analytics to measure whether the app works, improve flows, find errors, prevent abuse, and document purchases and access to premium features. Analytics may include event name, timestamp, anonymous session ID, app version, platform, language/locale, limited technical device information (model, manufacturer, OS version, and device class), and limited properties for the action you perform.
Analytics does not include IDFA, precise location, push token, payment token, App Store receipt/JWS, URLs, phone number, email, or user-defined free text such as filter names.
4. Legal basis
We process information to provide the service you request, including account handling, filters, matching, subscription handling, and support.
Push notifications are based on your consent through the iOS system permission dialog. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS or in the app.
Limited operational analytics, security logging, abuse prevention, and debugging are based on BoligAlert's legitimate interest in operating a secure and stable service. Information may also be processed where necessary to comply with legal obligations.
5. Data sources and third parties
Housing data in the app comes from external landlords, brokers, and housing sources. The app stores and displays limited factual listing information so it can match listings against your rental and purchase preferences, for example source, area/address, rent or purchase price, size, rooms, status, and original link.
BoligAlert is not affiliated with or endorsed by the shown landlords, brokers, or housing sources unless explicitly stated. Full details, application, purchase inquiry, and contact happen at the original source.
We use Supabase for backend, database, authentication, and Edge Functions, Apple for app distribution, Sign in with Apple, in-app purchases, and push notification delivery, and Vercel for the website and subscription-related API endpoints.
The app radar loads a fixed map view of Denmark from Esri World Imagery. The request does not include your selected address or precise location, but Esri and its delivery network may receive ordinary network information such as IP address and technical request headers. The map credits its data providers directly.
Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where this happens, we use relevant transfer safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the provider's equivalent data protection terms.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
BoligAlert does not use marketing cookies or third-party advertising cookies on this website. Hosting, security, basic logging, and necessary technical functions may process IP address, browser information, and visit time.
The website may load fonts or static assets from third-party domains. If we later introduce non-essential cookies or tracking, we will request consent before using them.
In the app, necessary local information such as an anonymous analytics session ID and technical app state may be stored to provide the service and debug issues.
7. Retention
We keep your rental and purchase preference and account information for as long as your account exists, or as long as necessary to provide the service and handle legal requirements.
Push tokens are kept while notifications are enabled or needed for your app profile. Subscription and transaction information is kept as long as necessary to document access, handle support, refunds, abuse, and legal requirements.
If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize the associated app data unless we are legally required to retain certain information for a period of time.
8. Your rights
You can change your rental and purchase preferences in the app at any time. You can also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and object to processing.
If processing is based on consent, you can withdraw consent for the future. This does not affect processing that already took place lawfully.
The app also includes a function to start account deletion directly in the app.

You may complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency if you believe our processing of personal data does not comply with applicable rules. See datatilsynet.dk.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational security measures to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, loss, and misuse.
10. Automated decisions
BoligAlert uses automated matching to show market status and determine whether a home matches your filters. This has no legal effect on you and does not decide whether you can rent or buy a home from the original source.
11. Changes
We may update this privacy policy when the app or legal requirements change. The latest version will be available through the app's legal page and on this website.
